Our Story: Christ’s Love in Action
Destiny Children’s Care began in Bukonde, Bugiri, during the upheaval of 2020. Schools closed, incomes vanished, and children bore the hardest burdens—hunger, neglect, and trauma. We stepped in not as an institution, but as a lifeline: food, safe homes, education, and the family of Christ.
Where We Began
In a village of 7,000—with 2,300 children—loss and isolation deepened. We answered with practical help and a spiritual home: meals, school fees, mentoring, trauma-informed counseling, and the healing presence of Christ.
